GENERAL OVERVIEW OF THE AREA
Alcaucin is a quiet location with winding streets of white washed housing and a pretty town square yet it's only a 45 min drive to Malaga Airport and just 20/30 minutes down to the coast complete with its beaches, shopping malls and hypermarkets. The mountain roads are excellent with good signage.

Villas Toboso is a small development, recently built in traditional Andalucian style on the edge of Alcaucin, so all the facilities are just a few minutes walk away. The town has restaurants, coffee shops, bars, a hotel, 3 small supermarkets, butcher, pharmacy, doctor, and more.

Alcaucin borders the huge Axarquia national park of the Sierras de Tejeda. The park has marked trekking routes, parking, camping sites, BBQ locations, fountains, country houses, shelters, etc..and is an excellent location for walking holidays. Much of the park is also accessible by car. Breathtaking views and just the place to leave behind all those cares and worries of the world!
