This beautiful and traditional, 5 bedroom Spanish house in Cadiz province is we'll located in Olvera.  While convenient for ejoying the local hills and valleys for outdoor activities, it is only about one hour's drive in all directions to coastal beaches in Cadiz City, or Malaga.  The city of Seville is also about one hour and twenty minutes drive.  The town has numerous bars, shops, restaurants and supermarkets.  Although the house was in a good condition when purchased,  it has now rewired, renovated, retiled, adding two new bathrooms and two showers. A new 100 litre boiler, and a powerful woodburner is also installed to heat this large house in winter.

With a beautiful patio garden for outdoor space for sitting and relaxing, including a roof terrace with mountain views,, there is ample outdoor space for a large family without leaving the property.  A large, wide entrance (passeo) leads into a much bigger reception area where there ais an array of books on many subjects--making it an eclectic choice for lovers of literature, poetry, shorty story and novel.  There is also a desk at which one can write. Another long, but wide corridor leads two one of the large, master bedrooms.  Across from it sits a dining room with capacity for six people.

After this there is a cozy sitting room with a woodburner, just off the kitchen.  Adjacent to the kitchen is the large patio which is home to a mature Jasmine tree and this beautiful space generally has plants and flowers flourishing.  Above is a large bedroom which overlooks the patio.  The laundry is also conveniently placed on the ground floor, off the patio.  There is beautiful garden furniture for sitting or eating breakfast outdoors. 

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one large, and one smaller, but spacious enough to be comfortable. On the next floor above is the terrace with room to have dinner for up to ten people. This is a house made for those who prefer lunch in the fresh air and candlelit dinners beneath the stars at night.  The house has an enormous 279 square meters, so it is extrememly spacious for socialising -- or for finding a private space to read or work in peace.

This house is located in the old part of town -- an atmospheric location below the castillo (castle) and the old church.  Directly across from the front door is a small, well stocked supermarket.  This can save you from making the trip into town to the main one if you only require the odd item.  Its very convenient.

The tourist advice office is only two minutes behind the house. In the centre of town, a ten minute walk, the Via Verde is availble for cycling, hill walking and climbing.  A short distance away is the town of Algodonales, which is well known for outdoor sports such as paragliding.
